To quickly recap…
Vivint’s basic home security system includes a Smart Hub, security sensors, a smart lock, a video doorbell, smoke and carbon monoxide monitors, and an indoor camera.
And everything is controlled remotely through the Vivint mobile app, including all connected devices and live stream footage.
The Vivint home security system does require professional installation, which can be conveniently scheduled to take place the same day your system is delivered.
Professional monitoring runs between $49.99 – $59.99 a month, depending on the number of cameras you use.
You can choose from either a five or three and a half year contract (which I’m personally not a big fan of), but you can cancel at any time without a penalty or fee.
